Taxis

Taxis are a great way of getting around the immediate city, but if you are planning on travelling much further, it may be worth considering another option as the fares can get quite high.Taxi fares are based on meters, which are government regulated and standard for all companies.  Generally, taxis will be waiting outside of major public areas such the train station, bus stations, and large hotels.  If outside of these areas, the best way to get a taxi is to call a taxi firm ahead of time to arrange for a pick-up.

Car Hire

Most of the major international operators have an office at the airports.

Bicycle Hire

Cycling in Germany is quite popular, and bicycles are easy to hire.
